WHAT IS HOMEOPATHY?

Homeopathy is a system of medicine that treats disease by gently stimulating the body’s own healing processes.

Homeopathy is a system of medicine that is fundamentally different from conventional (allopathic) medicine. Allopathic medicine tends to focus primarily on pharmaceuticals, many of which simply suppress symptoms and cause side effects, magnifying the imbalance in the body. Homeopathy stimulates the body’s own healing mechanisms to allow correction of the underlying imbalance that led to the symptoms in the first place.

Homeopathy uses substances found in nature that are diluted and potentized to create remedies. These remedies are actually considered medicines and are regulated by the FDA and HPUS (Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia of the United States). Homeopathic remedies are non-toxic, side-effect free, and inexpensive. Homeopathic treatment is based on the “Law of Similars” – that which can create symptoms in a healthy person can cause a healing response in a person with illness. With homeopathy, the symptoms a person is experiencing guide the homeopath to the remedies which are most likely to help the body correct/heal the underlying condition.
